First of all, I am so honored that when I asked Gin if I could receive an Advanced Reader Copy of her new book she said “Yes”!! WOW – Lucky me! I was so excited to receive it, directly from Gin’s home in Georgia!
I have taken the time to read this book and am so excited to share my thoughts with you on it. Soon, I will have a video review (I will link here when it’s actually done)
Bottom line – I def. think this is a worthwhile read for any new faster (or starting again). It makes it easy to digest a new lifestyle in bite size pieces.
This book could be read on its own and used to start Intermittent Fasting. However, it is intended to be used as a companion to guide you through the 28-Day Fast Start along with “Fast. Feast. Repeat.” Many parts of the Day-by-Day guide reference “Fast. Feast. Repeat.”
Contents
Gin starts the book with over views of various topics; such as what is Intermittent Fasting and the basics of a clean fast. She also breakdown of what to expect and definitions you’ll use throughout the 28 Days.
She also gives instructions on how to prepare for the 28 days as well as how to use the workbook on each day; ensuring your success!
As far as each day goes, this is where the magic happens. Each day has a focused topic and guide to your fast. The goal is to educate you on fasting, get you through that day’s fast and also to inspire.
On top of education, Gin also shares encouraging words from fasters who have shared their stories on previous episodes of her podcast Intermittent Fasting Stories.
Not only is there text to read, but daily there is space for you to write out goals and reflect on the process!
If you want to pre-order this book you can click or click on the photo above! It’s a great guide. This book would even be a perfect gift if you know someone who is looking to start fasting!
As a reminder, this is a companion and works best if you also have “Fast. Feast. Repeat.” to read and do your homework with.
I appreciate Gin sharing the book with me. I want to be clear, I was given the book early and for free. However, I have no promise of how/when I would share; so these thoughts and opinions are my own. This would be great for anyone wanting to have a daily guide as they begin their journey (or begin it again!)
