Intermittent fasting quickly drops the body’s insulin level, which is a hormone that aids the body to utilize sugar for energy. Black coffee is best but adding a little cream to satisfy your taste buds is okay in his eyes if it gets you to skip meals. The same goes for broth. The protein content of any meat broth helps prevent the self-eating up of cells, i.e., autophagy.

I think Dr. Fung is spot on with his teaching about fasting. I’m in the process of reading The Obesity Code for the 2nd time. I’ve basically been on one diet or another for over 40 years. I’ve lost, gained and repeated the process so many times I’m ashamed to admit it.
