My Perfect NYC Trip (Even in the Rain!)

Celebrating 100K Subscribers in the Best City for Foodies

New York City was absolutely perfect.

Even when it stormed.
Even walking through Times Square in a drizzle.
Even navigating crowded subways and packed sidewalks.

It was a whirlwind 50-hour adventure—from dropping off our car at long-term parking to picking it back up—and somehow, it felt like we experienced a lifetime of memories in just over two days.

This trip was a celebration of hitting 100,000 subscribers on Intermittent Fasting Foodie, and it truly felt like a dream come true.

A Foodie Bucket List—Checked!

Before we left, I made a list of must-eat foods—and I’m so happy to report: I hit every single one. NYC delivered, and then some:

  • Unexpected Discoveries – who knew my favorite foodie find would be right next door to our AirBNB?!
  • The viral Chicken ala Vodka sandwich from Mama’s Too – totally lived up to the hype.
  • Pizza from Ben’s Pizzeria and a classic $1 slice from Two Brothers – iconic and delicious.
  • Halal street cart food – spicy, flavorful, unforgettable.
  • Bagel with cream cheese from Liberty Bagels – still dreaming about the mountains of cream cheese
  •  hot dog from a classic NYC cart – because of course.
  • And honestly? We stopped into so many places just because they looked good. That’s part of the magic.

I even made time for a mini Trader Joe’s grocery haul, because who would I be if I didn’t?

We Walked Everywhere (And Loved It)

From Rockefeller Center to Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge to the Statue of Liberty, and every block in between—we walked, subway-ed, and explored until our feet ached. And it was so worth it.

There’s something thrilling about NYC’s energy: the nonstop movement, the crowds, the street performers, the unexpected moments that pop up around every corner. We braved the subway (and honestly, ended up loving it), soaked in the views, and let ourselves be fully present.

Five people pose on rocks in Central Park with tall city buildings in the background under a cloudy sky. Person wearing a crossbody bag shaped like a hot dog with mustard, over a white shirt and blue jacket. A woman in Times Square holds a YouTube Silver Play Button, smiling at night among bright city lights.

The Best Part? There’s Still So Much Left to See

Despite how much we packed into those 50 hours, I know we only scratched the surface. NYC is the kind of place where you can visit ten times and still discover something new every trip. How cool is that?

And yes—I already can’t wait to go back.

A Perfect Way to Celebrate

This trip wasn’t just a personal getaway—it was a way to honor everything this community has become. Hitting 100K subscribers on YouTube is a milestone I’ll never forget, and I’m so grateful to all of you who have followed along, supported, commented, cheered me on, and made this channel what it is.

Thank you for the excitement, the recommendations, the love! I’ll be regularly adding to my NYC video playlist so you can relive every bite and moment with me.

Let’s keep making joyful memories—whether they’re in our own kitchens or in the middle of Times Square.

With so much gratitude,
Jackie
