Aghhh 2023 is here, whoa! I cannot believe it, this year flew by. I think the older I get, the more that becomes truth. Time passes fast. But here we are, another year to reflect on. Another year to plan. Another opportunity to make it “our year!!”
I have ALWAYS had New Years goals. I’m even talking vision boards using magazine pictures cut out for inspiration. You know the original Pinterest.
I am just grateful that “losing weight” isn’t at the top of my list anymore!! 2021 and 2022 were both years I didn’t have to set that as a resolution. It’s actually crazy to me that it’s been that long (you know, going back to time passing quickly).
So what about New Years goals for 2023?

Work on developing more of a routine on my work/life schedule.
If you’ve never heard of habit stacking, you should check out this video here. Basically, it’s building routine around things you do habitually. For instance, I run the dishwasher right before bed everything. It’s second nature to me now because I always run it right before bed… I stacked the chore of starting the dishwasher with the habit of going to bed. It makes tasks feel routine, so it’s easier and more likely to accomplish them.
I want to work on adding items to my daily routine.- Incorporate Reading (any book)
- Incorporate Devotional (affiliate link)
- Incorporate Reviewing my Planner daily (affiliate link)
- Develop some sort of regular workout routine/goals… still TBD. Nothing giant, but more consistency!

Be Prepared for healthy & delicious foods/snacks… focus on quality.
I love to eat delicious food. I think it’s long been established that I love fasting because I get to continue to enjoy yummy foods! However, now that I am 2.5 years into this, I really feel like I am ready to make some changes to my diet. This isn’t going to come in the form of restriction – nothing will be off limits still. However, I want to really be mindful of having better options (that I still love) within my eating window. The key is to be prepared and thoughtful.
An example of this is I used to always eat whatever sounded good to open my eating window. Now, there is nothing wrong with this and I still lost weight and got into a groove with fasting. However, I am learning that I truly feel better and see a benefit to eating protein first! So, I focus on eating foods that I love…that are protein heavy… to open my eating window! I’m not restricting foods, I am simply making sure I have delicious protein options. This post shares some of my favorites.
I want to continue my wellness journey with foods I love. Being more mindful will just be a way to help! Will I still eat donuts? Of course, no one worry about me 🙂

Launch my podcast!
I know this has been a long time coming. I just need to make sure when I launch it, it’s full of all the time and effort to be as best as possible! I have taken a podcasting course. I have determined all the tools, software, platforms I need. I have a list of people interested in being interviewed. I am so close. The background work is being completed… soon the podcast will be here and I am SO excited!!The podcast will focus on the Food Freedom enjoyed through Intermittent Fasting. I hope it’s laidback feeling, chatting with a friend who loves fasting as much as I do! It won’t be too technical, and more focused on food. I want to highlight the many ways people incorporate Intermittent Fasting to really highlight the variety and flexibility.
So Let’s Get this!!
I am not trying to change myself into a whole new woman! I just want to better myself, my habits, my wellness a bit at a time. I’m 2.5 years into this journey and this slow approach has yielded amazing results! I’m proud of all of us, any positive step is worth celebration!

You’re such a good inspiration. I listen to you weekly and I really enjoy the down to earth everyday videos. I know this is why so many people can relate to you and begin their journey because you keep it real and tell them your struggles and accomplishments. And they too can lose weight and make it happen too by not giving up and focus on keeping the IF lifestyle simple. That’s what people want. Simple. Something they know they can do everyday. Thank you for taking the time to read this. God Bless.
