I really love to meal plan & to some this seems counterintuitive. How can I enjoy planning meals when I only eat one meal a day? Don’t I get sad that I’m only eating 7 meals in a week instead of the standard 21?! Short answer is no!
Don’t worry; I don’t watch the clock waiting!
Week of Eating to Look Forward to!
The magic of intermittent fasting & OMAD (besides feeling amazing!) is that that one meal each day has the potential to be an amazing meal! As the family meal planner, I have the control to plan each meal as something I really will enjoy and truly look forward to. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather eat and enjoy a single meal daily than stress over 3 low-calorie diet meals a day.
Of course as a wife and mom, naturally I have to consider the tastes and preferences of my family. But as I learned long ago, the one with the pen has the power! And this weeks meal plan is a perfect illustration of me crafting a week of meals I truly look forward to!
Now it’s Planned, Let’s Shop
I went grocery shopping to get the ingredients for these meals yesterday. You can see shop with me and see the haul here. Each week I share my meal plan & grocery haul on YouTube on “Grocery Addict”.
This week I am trying a new recipe from a new cookbook; I love trying new things! Blueberry sheet pan pancakes. I’ll have to report back on the success. If you want to check out this new cookbook, here is an affiliate link to check it out: it’s called “Super Easy“
Enjoy your week; hope it’s full of meals you look forward to! Thank you so much for reading!

I am so grateful that you had the courage to share your starting point and journey. The fact that you give hope that we don’t have to eat like birds every day is liberating and exciting.
QUESTION: I LOVE WEEKEND BREAKFASTS WITH MY FAMILY. IF YOUR OMAD IS DINNERS, HOW TO YOU SWITCH OUT AND BACK INTO BREAKFASTS ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY? IS THAT POSSIBLE OR AM I JUST KIDDING MYSELF?

I don’t think it’s at all out of the question! I truly feel like fasting gives flexibility. If you chose to have breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday as your OMAD not only will you have the JOY that is obvious you miss, but you’ll be changing your fasting schedule. From what I’ve read, that is very good to ‘keep the body guessing’ in a way. You might end up with a shorter fast between Friday’s meal and Saturday’s breakfast, but that is only once a week. Then you’d have a nice long fast between Sunday and Monday. The variety and joy might work really well as you implement. Try it out, see how you feel!
