Another week, Another Summary! Let’s break it down a bit more. I haven’t done this in a while and I know some reading this like the lesson! It may help you to see your averages, too!
Math Time!
Let’s start with some fasting math. My “Total Hours Fasted” over 7 days was 138H and 57 Minutes (138.95 hours) This is the total for 1 week (7 days). So my average fast each day is found by 138.95 divided by 7. This gives me an average fast of 19.85 hours. (.85 hours * 60 minutes will give us 51 minutes) This is 19 hours and 51 minutes on average that I fasted last week.
Using this as my fasting average, we can find out my eating window average! 24 hours minus 19 hours and 51 minutes leaves me with an average eating window of 4 hours and 9 minutes.
Abnormal, but Okay!
In general, this past week of fasting hasn’t been too representative of what I normally do. I didn’t have any down nor up days. Additionally, no longer fasts!!
I share these weekly summaries to highlight how different week to week can be, and there can still be success! Why? Because even if not normal, I held true to what works best for me (an 18 hour minimum) and then I flexed around that!
You can see daily details above!
Testing my Blood Sugar
The reason for my abnormal hours is I spent most days last week running experiments on my Continuous Glucose Monitor! This meant whatever I wanted to test called for the following steps: eat something and then wait 2 hours without eating anything else!! Since I was testing snacks, my meal would have to be at least 2 hours after my eating window began! Not a big deal, I still love experimenting. It just means I had to extend my eating windows to accommodate both the experiment and the window worthy food!
