Absolutely! Here’s your transcript turned into a polished and heartfelt blog post for Intermittent Fasting Foodie:
There are days when everything just feels right—when joy takes the front seat and memories are made that will last a lifetime. For me, this was one of those days.
I invited some close friends and family to a local pizzeria under the guise of watching The Price is Right—a taping that I just so happened to attend. What they didn’t know? I wasn’t just in the audience… I was actually on the show. And their reactions as the truth started to unfold were absolutely priceless.
But this blog post isn’t just about the big reveal. It’s about something deeper—living in the moment, fully and unapologetically.
One Meal a Day, No Guilt Attached
This special day just so happened to fall during my one meal of the day (OMAD), and let me tell you—it was an epic eating window. Pizza, laughter, surprise, joy. The best part? There was zero guilt attached to the food on my plate.
There were no diet rules looming over me. No second-guessing each bite. Just genuine presence with the people I love and a deep appreciation for everything happening around me.
My Kids Had Theories—and They Were So Close!
Before the show started, my kids tried to guess what might happen. Mila, my oldest, predicted I’d bid on a massage chair, spin the wheel, and get 80 cents followed by 15. Another guessed I’d win the bidding round but not make it any further.
And then it happened…
I heard my name—“Jackie!”—and the next thing I knew, I was running down to contestant’s row. And yes, I made it on stage. Yes, I spun the wheel. And yes, I was on the showcase showdown.
I ended up winning $46,333 in prizes. What a moment.
The Bite I’ll Remember
As I took my first bite of pizza that day, surrounded by cheers, laughter, and complete disbelief from my loved ones, I felt something even greater than excitement—I felt peace. This was a day of celebration. A day of joy. And I didn’t waste a second of it overthinking calories, macros, or whether I “earned” this meal.
This is why I live this way.
Because I want to remember the moments—not the measurements. I want to soak up the laughter and savor every delicious bite without a side of guilt.
The Takeaway: Joy > Food Rules
If I’ve learned anything from my OMAD journey, it’s this: joy is worth more than any food rule. Choosing when I eat, rather than obsessing over what I eat, has opened up a life that’s full of freedom, flexibility, and so much happiness.
This day will forever be one of my favorites—not because of the prizes (though those were amazing!), but because I was fully present for every second of it.
Cheers to a joyful fast, joyful life.
