Weekly Fasting Summary (with a really long eating window!!)

Another week another summary – this time August edition. The difference this week is there is a new graphic to look at. To be honest I’m not sure what I think of it. I personally prefer the more simple version I was used to (you can see what I am referring to in previous summaries here). Anyways, the data is still there so we are good to go!

fasting summary Jul 31-August 06 2022

Last week I was able to successfully complete all seven fasts with a minimum of 18 hours. With a little simple math we can figure out that my average fast was just about 20.5 hours for the week. (Simple rough math explained 142.5 hours total/7 days = 20.357 hours each day… roughly 20.5)

This week was unique  because I did 2 down days with 2 up days.  One of the up days was so long I ended up having a nearly 12 hour eating window!  I talk more about that in this post right here.  It was due to a fun summer event and it ended on our back deck with s’mores.  Perfect, delicious and something definitely worth extending my eating window for.  The mallows were good, but my favorite part was the excitement of my kids doing something out of the ordinary.

Reminder

As I’ve mentioned in the past, the reason I like to share my weekend review is I want you as a potentially new faster to see flexibility on paper. it may be a difficult concept to understand how one meal a day or a majority of your day fasting can still be super flexible. however, I think by sharing with you how my hours vary both in terms of how long I fast and how long my eating window is that it is a wonderful illustration of making each day and eating window that works for your life.

You can see in the hour-by-hour breakdown that I open my window at various times each day and closed it at various times each day.

I don’t ever feel restricted or unable to participate in an event I want to due to fasting.  As you can see, I really flexed my fasting times and eating windows this week.  I opened my eating window at 11:21 on August first to have an olive burger with my grandma.  I also closed my eating with a toasted marshmallow as previously mentioned at 11:51 PM on August 5.

My focus remains on ensuring I get 18 hours in between each eating window minimum.  And from there, I am flexible!  This leaves room and ability to do all things important to me.
