One of my absolute favorite parts of living the OMAD lifestyle is the freedom to truly enjoy food. Not diet food. Not bland substitutes. Not “rules” about what’s allowed or not. Just good, real food—often the fun, seasonal, limited-time things that make life feel special.
ALDI provides the perfect example of this fun in action! ALDI, if you didn’t know, is my favorite grocery store (I have an entire ALDI Grocery YouTube channel if you didn’t know!) They constantly have limited time offers (ALDI Finds) and amazing seasonal foods. With dieting, I may feel like I “should” pass some of these up, or worry how something fits into a rigid set of diet rules.
Recent ALDI Finds
This time of year, the holiday shelves are starting to fill up with treasures—like their new French Onion and Mustard Seed cheeses. Doesn’t that sound like the perfect centerpiece for a cozy charcuterie board?

Or how about maple drizzled popcorn… or even cinnamon roll maple syrup? Basically, if it’s maple-flavored, it has my heart.

And don’t even get me started on my all-time favorite ALDI treat: their German Cherry Tart. It’s so good that when it comes out, I stock up like a squirrel preparing for winter. My girls and I love this tart. We bake it, cut it in thirds and enjoy together – perfect girl time if you ask me! 🍒

Free to Enjoy These Finds
Here’s the thing—I get to savor these treats without the heaviness of dieting guilt. OMAD has given me this incredible peace with food. My focus is on when I eat, not obsessing over what I eat. That means when something new or seasonal comes along, I get to jump in with joy instead of hesitation.
It’s such a fun, freeing way to live. Food feels exciting again. Meals feel like events I get to look forward to. And when I find those once-a-year gems at ALDI, I can bring them home knowing I’ll enjoy them fully, in my eating window, without restriction or regret.
You Can, Too!
So here’s my little encouragement for you: let yourself enjoy the fun foods that come your way. Try the new cheese. Drizzle that maple syrup. Grab the cherry tart (and maybe one extra for your freezer 😉). With OMAD, you get to love food again, and that joy makes the lifestyle sustainable long-term.
Cheers to food being fun, to eating with peace, and to the joy of OMAD.
