A Month Packed with Celebrations
September 11 through October 10 is basically a birthday marathon at my house. We’ve got Kel’s on 9/11, Matt’s on 9/29, and Elsie’s on 10/10. That’s three birthdays in one month—three cakes, three birthday dinners, plus one extra dinner each with my in-laws to celebrate again. That’s a lot of celebration packed into 30 days!
Why Dieting Would Ruin the Fun
Now, imagine how stressful that would feel if I were stuck in diet culture. Trying to “be good,” avoiding dessert, tracking bites, and feeling guilty for enjoying the people (and the food) I love. Honestly? NO THANKS. That way of living just isn’t for me anymore.

How OMAD Brings Freedom
OMAD makes all the difference. Instead of stressing about all those meals and parties, I get to simply fast until it’s time to celebrate. No juggling “should I eat this or not?”—I just enjoy the birthday meal, whatever it is, during my eating window. And that’s the real freedom for me: I get to make room for what matters most.
Food, Family, and Joy 🎈 🤩
Sometimes that looks like carryout subs (Matt’s pick this year), sometimes it’s pizza in the park with Kel, and sometimes it’s Elsie’s favorite: a sit-down dinner at a restaurant. No matter what, I don’t feel deprived, I don’t feel guilty, and I don’t feel like I’m ruining my progress. I get to just be there, celebrating with my family, fully enjoying both the food and the moment.
That’s why I love OMAD so much. It’s not just about simplifying my day or keeping my health goals on track—it’s about reclaiming joy. I don’t have the burden of dieting stealing the magic of birthdays, holidays, or everyday little moments with the people I love.
So here’s to cake, subs, pizza, and family dinners—without the guilt, without the diet rules, and with all the joy. ????
